Disruption

Assalaamu 'alaikum.

We must constantly remind ourselves that we are not in complete control of our lives in terms of doing all that which we plan. We plan, but it is Allaah's Plan which is the final superseding one.

The plan for this week was to focus on the letter 'a' – mashaa`Allaah, that was on Monday and on Tuesday Junayd's little sister was born, alhamdulillaah.

I'm getting a little worried that I'll not be able to focus on Junayd's early learning now that he's a big brother. I really don't want to leave a long period where I'm not doing anything constructive with him.

Any suggestions or advice?

Oh ma shaa Allah!!!! I am so happy to hear this! May Allah fill her with piety and make her a source of joy and pride to her parents and ummah ameen.

I am sure you already know this but early learning isn’t just about literacy, numeracy and books. It is also about responsibility, compassion, tolerance and learning to adapt and share and so much more. Junayd will be learning a lot just by trying to be a good son and brother in shaa Allah.

Ms Muffet is a very auditory learner so we always just grab a huge pile of books and read for hours while I nurse or when Cookie is fussing. Not sure about Junayd but he can do his crafts, practise writing in his own office (heh… Ms M was thrilled when she got her own desk!), etc.

Love to the babies… and to you!

  2. Masha Allah!! You’re now a mummy x2! Alhamdulilah! Sorry I have nothing constructive to add here, just blog hopped on here cause there hasn’t been any updates for a long time on the other blog. I never guessed there was a bundle of joy in the house keeping you busy.

May Allah make it easy for you and continue to bless you. (Amin)

    Aameen to the du’aa!

Iman: Yes, I guess there is more room for Junayd’s learning now compared to when he was the only child. Mashaa`Allaah there doesn’t seem to be any hints of jealousy or the like – he smothers her, literally, mashaa`Allaah.

Eka: Yes I know! I do need to update that blog. I’ll be posting an annoucement over there inshaa`Allaah. Thanks for the ‘heads-up’!

    Was-salaamu ‘alaikum
